Friends,
[If you haven't read the first part in this series, please read it here.]
You Are The Rivers Of Living Waters.
Let me suggest to you that you are the rivers of living waters mentioned in Rev 22:1, with scriptural evidence:
Joh 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, rivers of living water will flow from your heart (belly in KJV). This is not something that has to happen in the infinite future, it's already fulfilled in you. You are the rivers of living water.
On the unhealed nations and the vile sinners outside the city gates:
Rev 22:14: Blessed are those who wash their robes, (do his commandments - KJV), so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Rev 22:15: Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Is it not self-evident those who are already inside the city need not to enter the city through the gates? Also, doesn’t it make sense to say that these vile sinners who are outside the city are the ones who need to wash their robes (or do his commandments - KJV) in order to enter through the gates into the city?
Please remember, the gates of the city are always open 24/7:
Rev 21:25 and its gates will never be shut by day - and there will be no night there (Because the Lamb is the light of the city).
With these vile sinners outside the city, we may consider gates that are open all the 24 hours as a security concern, but that is God's provision for the sinners to wash their robes and enter the city. There is none that is eternally separated.
If we refer back to Ezekiel 47 from which John draws the imagery of the river of living waters and the tree(s) on the banks of it, we can see that wherever the water of the river flows the water in those regions would become fresh and wherever the river doesn’t reach, those regions will be left to salt (unusable):
Eze 47:8 And he said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and enters the sea; when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh.
Eze 47:9 And wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.
Eze 47:11 But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they are to be left for salt. There are many who ask: What is the necessity of preaching the gospel if all the prophecies and Revelation are fulfilled? Dear in Christ, the answer is above. You are the river of living waters, wherever that water flows, the water of the sea will be healed. Those who are outside the holy city will be healed and they will wash their robes and will enter the city and be partakers with you in the tree of life.
In the Old Covenant, Jehovah was the fountain of living waters (Jer 2:13), now it is you. Go ahead, heal the world, and make it a better place! You can bring it to Edenic perfection.
In Christ,
Tomsan Kattackal
Beautiful
