The Satan Myth: Introductory questions - #5: Were the “chains of darkness” made in China?

Friend,

While I have nothing against China, there is a general feeling that the products imported from there are of inferior quality. (If you are uncomfortable with my usage of China, please read it replacing it with any country that manufactures inferior quality products.)

Kindly read these scriptures:
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
According to a vast majority of Christians, Satan was the leader of the fallen angels which rebelled against the Almighty God and consequently expelled from heaven. Most of the Christians also believe that this expulsion happened almost at the time of the Biblical flood.

Both the above scriptures make it plain that the angels that sinned were delivered into chains of darkness and they will remain there till the day of judgment.
  • If Satan was in fact the leader of the fallen angels why he was not delivered into the chains of darkness? Did God allow some sort of “diplomatic immunity” to Satan, excluding him from being delivered to the chains of darkness?
  • If Satan were indeed delivered into the chains of darkness, how did he manage to escape from it and:
    • stood up against Israel (1Ch 21:1)?
    • torment Job (Job 1:6-9,12; 2:1-7)?
    • test Zechariah (Zec 3:1, 2)?
    • test Jesus (Mat 4:1-10; Luk 4:1-13)?
    • again get back to heaven so that he could fall from there like a lightening (Luk 10:18)?
    • ... and do many more things.
    • Obviously, all these these things happened between the Biblical flood and the day of judgment.
    • Were the chains of darkness of such inferior quality, like some Chinese products that we find in local markets?
    • Is not the creator of the universe capable of making a proper chain that can rein in Satan?
    • If this Satan has escaped from the chains of darkness in the past, what is the assurance that he won't repeat it again when he is to be bound in chains during the thousand years (Rev 20:1-2)?
    • Is there a reason to think that the
    • “great chain” mentioned in Rev 20:1-2 would be stronger than the “chains of darkness”?
    • Will God ensure that the chains to be used to bind Satan during the thousand years is made in the USA or Germany so that Satan won't escape from it?
    • Many do theorize that “fallen angels” or “angels that sinned” are indeed the demons which possess, injure and harm people (Mat 4:24; 8:16,28,33; 9:32; 12:22; 15:22; Mar 1:32; 5:15-16, 18; Luk 8:36; Joh 10:21).

Let us read 2Pe 2:4 and Jud 1:6 again:

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Do the scriptures not make it plain that the “fallen angels” are delivered to “chains of darkness” till the great day of judgment? Is there anything that suggest that these angels can free themselves from the chains in the interim period?

The theory that they could free themselves out of the chains of darkness and harm people in the interim period, amounts prove that the Almighty God could not restrain them, in other words, the term "Almighty" is a misnomer! I repeat the question: did the Omniscient God get the chains of darkness made in China?

More questions to follow...

In Christ,
Tomsan Kattackal
