Something to ponder on the Second Death and the Lake of Fire.

Dear in Christ,

This post may vary slightly from my previous posts. Nonetheless, I present it for your consideration, because the truth is far more important than my beliefs and what I have been writing all along.

Here are some of the people who would end up in the Lake of Fire, a.k.a, the Second death.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,[G5406] and whoremongers,[G4205] and sorcerers,[G5332] and idolaters,[G1496] and all liars,[G5571] shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

According to the general understanding of the passage, those who are cast into the Lake of Fire are annihilated forever and their spirits are extinguished once and for all. But, wait a minute, we meet the same persons just outside the gates of the New Jerusalem. (Please bear in mind that G5571 and G5579 are derivatives of G5574 and G5332 and G5333 are exactly the same words.)

Rev 22:15 For without (outside the New Jerusalem) are dogs, and sorcerers,[G5333] and whoremongers,[G4205] and murderers,[G5406] and idolaters,[G1496] and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.[G5579]

These people are not lost, they have the option of entering the city through the gates. (the following passage is from ESV.)

Rev 22:14: Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

They are supposed to wash their robes in the water that flows out of the city through its gates which are open 24/7/365. (Rev 21:25).

What is the source of this water? Of course, it is the river of the water of life which flows from below the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Rev 22:1). According to the words of Jesus, the source of the rivers of living water is the heart of the believer.

Joh 7:38: Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'

YOU are the throne of God and the Lamb. The rivers of the living water has to flow out of YOUR heart and heal those who are outside the city gates, instead of theorizing that they would be annihilated, extinguished and culled.
